In every crew battle there’s always one dancer who stands out. Every crew has their superstar. Some have more than one. The solo b-boy event offers up the floor, exclusively, for these b-boy gladiators. This event is especially intense, as these elite dancers fight to establish themselves as the undisputed king of the floor. Some hit the stage ready to meet old foes, settle grudges & avenge losses. Other are hungry for that first big scalp! 16 of the best breakers from all over the globe will battle it out, one-on-one, to establish who is the supreme solo b-boy of 2011!

Trickx (Korea)

B-Boy Trickx is from the legendary Drifterz Crew but has been part of the Korean allstar crews which have been in 3 finals of the UK B-Boy Championships, winning in 2004. Trickx has a gained a vast amount of top level accolades since 2003 from R16 Korea to BOTY to IBE and he is currently the 2011 R-16 Korea solo champion. His skill and flavour level is recognized worldwide and he has a true battle attitude!


Sky Chief (Netherlands)

Sky Chief made his name when he danced at Hip-Hop Session in 2008. After that battle he started to get more serious about his dance and a year later was one of the 16 invited bboys at World Bboy Classic. Sky Chief has also battled at numerous competitions with his crew Rugged Solutions including the UK B-Boy Championships in 2008. With his energetic style, amazing flips and arial moves he is the ‘chief of the sky’ but his skill as a dancer is even more impressive. He draws on his Suriname-Ghanaian roots in interpreting the music, making everybody around him feel his connection to the beats that the DJ is playing. His win at the Benelux solo qualifiers cements his position as the top solo b-boy from the Netherlands. Now he is looking for international glory and the world title!

 

Spin (UK)

A member of La Familia crew, Spin is one of the only few b-boys coming out of the UK who is making a big noise on the international scene. Spin has spent the past two years having travelling all across Europe and beyond to test his skills against the world’s best. As well as being a good all rounder, Spin’s unique footwork skills and original combinations and style have gained him great respect from his peers on the scene both at home and abroad. Spin will be flying the flag for the UK for the second consecutive year at the 2011 UK B-Boy Championships.


Hong 10 (Korea)

Member of Drifterz Crew, all-star Korean crew Project Soul and the Red Bull BC One Allstars, Hong 10 is an unstoppable force with more big wins under his belt from the past decade than most will achieve in a lifetime! His wins include Red Bull BC One, B-Boy Unit, Battle of the Year and the UK B-Boy Championships Crew Battles. Hong 10 also featured in the film documentary ‘Turn It Loose’ giving his fans across the globe a unique insight into his world of competitive b-boying. Hong 10 is famous for his clean execution of his astonishing combos and makes his highly technical creations look effortless. He is one of the strongest b-boys of our time. In both 2004 and 2005 Hong 10 came in 2nd place in the UK B-Boy Championships Solo Battle. This year Hong 10 has his eye firmly on the top prize and is ready to respond to anything that comes his way!


Roxrite (USA)

With a decade of competitive experience behind him, Roxrite is one of the most seasoned b-boys in the world. His strong battle tactics and seemingly endless ability to innovate have made him a global winner. Roxrite is also member of the Red Bull All Stars crew, cementing his position as one of the world’s few luminary b-boys. Having won the UK B-Boy Championships solo title in 2005, Roxrite will be back in London this year to try and reclaim it. A 2011 victory would lead Roxrite to become only the second b-boy to win more than one UK B-Boy Championships solo title in the event’s history. Roxrite is ready to rise to the challenge!


Lil G (Venezuela)

Hailing from Venezuela, Lil G is currently one of the top b-boys in the world with a wealth of international battle wins under his belt including the 2011 Red Bull BC One Brazilian qualifier. He strives to be unique in his approach and always executes his trademark power combos with unmistakeable style. Lil G is a force to be reckoned with and has got the potential dominate at this year’s UK B-Boy Championships.


Gravity (USA)

Already in possession of an arsenal of titles, Dynasty Rockers crew member Gravity will be representing in both the crew and solo b-boy battles at this years UK B-Boy Championships World Finals. True to his namesake, Gravity incorporates his spectacular acrobatic skills into his b-boying, always pushing the limits of physicality to awe inspiring effect. After taking the ’7-to-smoke’ title at the 2010 UK B-Boy Championships Knock Out Jam, Gravity will be looking to defeat his rivals and replicate this victory in the 2011 solo battle.


Sunni (UK)

At just 16 years old, Sunni is already one of the UK’s best b-boys and has travelled extensively to train and compete with the world’s best. He is fast becoming internationally known for his exceptional flavour and innate creativity. Sunni’s most recent international battles include the Red Bull BC One Spanish Qualifier where he reached the quarter finals and World B-boy Classic where he partnered Lil G and got to the semi-finals. Sunni is climbing the ladder and hungry to reach the top! He is also battling with his crew Soul Mavericks in this year’s UK B-Boy Championships crew battles. This young gun will certainly be bringing the heat.


Dr Hefo (Poland)

Dr. Hefo, the Polish steam train, is known for his inventiveness and ability to innovate in the spur of the moment. Dr. Hefo is the type of dancer that feeds off the energy from the crowd, the music and the opponents he faces. This inspiration produces a lethal cocktail of original moves and creative style, which captivates the crowd and surprises his opponents. Dr. Hefo’s dance has taken him all over the world and he will continue to strive for higher ground at this year’s UK B-Boy Championships World Finals.


DereLeek (USA)

DereLeek is San Francisco b-boy who was first inspired to dance back in 2002 during high school. He has battled all around the world and been victorious in Europe Asia, South America and his native USA. He is a member of Fallen Kings crew and also dances with Supreme Soul crew. Travelling the world to compete is DereLeek’s passion and performing in front of thousands of people is what he thrives on. This will be DereLeek’s first time battling at the UK B-Boy Championships and he make a statement and show his rivals whats up!


2Goo (Japan)

FoundNation crew member 2Goo will be representing in both the crew and solo b-boy battles at this year’s UK B-Boy Championships. He has been travelling extensively battling hard all over the globe and will never falter in his quest to beat the best. With his engaging character and energetic delivery, 2Goo will provide plenty of hype battle fire.


Flex Holik (Germany)

Representing Bloodsport and Bloodsyndicate crew, German b-boy Flex Holik will be making his UK B-Boy Championships solo battle debut this year. From the moment he started dancing 10 years ago, Flex Holik was hooked, hence his name, which came as naturally as his style. Flex Holik is becoming known all around the globe for his original mix of flexibility, power and footwork combined with innovative tricks. Having been triumphant at the 2011 UK B-Boy Championships German eliminations, Flex Holik is keen to take the world title and anticipates having a lot of fun in his quest to do so.


Morris (USA)

Fallen Kings crew member Morris is well known for his energetic style and charisma. He has an armoury of unconventional and unique moves coupled with great strength and execution. Morris was the 2009 UK B-boy Championships solo winner and this year will be his fourth appearance in the solo battle. Morris is well seasoned in battle tactics having traveled extensively and taken part in many of the world’s elite battles including Red Bull BC One and Freestyle Session. A win would make him the second b-boy to own more than one UK B-Boy Championships solo title. Will Morris make history?


Minnesota Joe (USA)

Minnesota Joe has traveled the international competitive b-boy circuit and turned many heads along the way. He recently made it to the quarter finals of the 2011 Red Bull BC One USA qualifier, battling America’s greats and he also won Hip Hop Session earlier this year in France. Always inspired by a challenge, Minnesota Joe will put his inspiration into action at the UK B-Boy Championships World Finals. His creativity and desire to represent to the fullest will definitely be in maximum effect in London this October.


Salo (Venezuela)

Salo started b-boying in 2001 and has never looked back since. He has spent the past decade battling and representing his country at top events including Eurobattle and two Red Bull BC One Brazilian qualifiers. Salo never holds back in a battle and always gives 100%. He has great musicality and incorporates dynamic tricks and power moves into his style. He is an inspiration for many future generation b-boys in Venezuela and will be flying the flag with pride at the 2011 UK B-Boy Championships World Finals.


Kirill (Russia)

Hailing from Russia, a nation that has presented the world with many inspiring b-boys, Kirill will be bringing his exciting fusion of power and style to the 2011 UK B-Boy Championships. Kirill executes his innovative combos with charisma and has a real zest for battling. He has travelled the world over the last two years to participate in battles at events such as Street Star, Raw Circles and Chelles Battle Pro. Kirill battles with freedom and has built a strong reputation for himself on the competitive b-boy circuit. His appetite for victory will enable him to bring his best skills to the World Finals stage in October.
