For many, World Crew Battle is the main event of the B-Boy Championships. Once again 8 crews from around the World will carry with them the pride of their nations, as they set out to take the title of “World’s Best Crew” back home with them. Reputations have been made & lost here, so the stakes are always high, which makes the battling intense & truly compelling. Winning the World’s biggest, battle only, b-boy event is arguably the most coveted achievement for any crew. For some it will only ever be a dream, but make no mistake, every crew comes to win. This year is set to be the best yet, featuring some of the dopest crews in the game. There can be few spectacles as entertaining as the crew battles at the B-Boy Championships. Vagabonds (France / Defending Champions)

Vagabonds took the crew title in 2010. On a night to remember, the French crew avenged defeat in the final of the 2002 competition to beat Top 9 of Russia & become the 15th World crew champions. They are one of the most respected crews, having an arsenal of routines, style, incredible individual talent and a team dynamic which always see the Vagabonds move as one. Masterminded by founder member and manager, Momo, they are always ready for battle. Taking it straight to their opponents with amazing power move solos or blistering crew routines. As returning Champions, they are out for that elusive 2nd world title!

Jinjo (Korea)

Jinjo are the undisputed top crew in Korea right now and winning the qualifier to come to the UK is a step toward what they feel is their destiny of lifting the World Title. In 2009 the lost a hard fought and bitterly disputed semi-final against eventual Champions Skill Methods from the US. This time they are well prepared but also seem rawer, less inhibited and more dangerous. In the Korea qualifier they dominated Rivers crew, comfortably switching between runs of power and tricks to style and foundation. They have routines too, utilizing complex choreography and crazy blow ups, Jinjo show no sign of weakness!

Soul Mavericks (UK)

Soul Mavericks are the current UK National B-Boy Champions and also one of the few UK based crews who are representing in competitions worldwide on an international level with some of the best b-boy crews in the world. A unique crew with a diverse list of members, this year will be the 5th time that Soul Mavericks will be representing the UK at the World Finals. After reaching the semi-finals last year, they will most certainly have the support of the home crowd to spur them on to bring the battle fire that they thrive upon.

Dynamic Rockers (USA)

Established in 1979 in Queens, New York, the Dynamic Rockers crew are a key part of hip hop history. The Dynamic Rockers helped catapult b-boying into the mainstream after their legendary battle against the Rock Steady Crew at the Lincoln Center in 1981 made them a worldwide name. Continuing the growth of their legacy, the current generation of the crew are a powerful force with mind blowing skills that put many other crews in the shade. With their vibrant execution of tops, footwork and power coupled with daring routines, Dynamic Rockers are sure to bring fire and flavour to the 2011 UK B-boy Championships World Finals. Last year they reached the semi-finals, crew leader Kid Glyde was crowned footwork battle champion and Gravity took the 7-to-smoke title. So in 2011, Dynamic Rockers will definitely be hungry to go all the way!

FoundNation

Winning the Japanese qualifiers for the second year running, Found Nation will be flying the flag and bringing their unstoppable energy to Brixton once again this year. Found Nation have been travelling extensively throughout the year, battling their way around the world to prove that they are at the top of their game. With crew member 2Goo also representing in the solo b-boy battles Found Nation crew are sure to be ready to take on anything that comes their way with the exuberant character that they are renowned for.

Rugged Solutions (Netherlands)

Dutch crew Rugged solutions also known as “The Ruggeds” got together back in 2005. Hungry to prove themselves both nationally and internationally, they have trained hard and worked our way up to the upper levels of the competitive b-boy scene over the past 6 years. Battling is the core of the crew, but their skills extend further into all element of hip hop. Rugged Solutions will be bring their unique brand of flavour to this year’s UK B-Boy Championships and with crew member Sky Chief also representing in the solos, they will be fired up and aiming take more than one title back home.

La Smala (France)

French crew La Smala have been travelling far and wide to battle over the past decade, building a strong reputation internationally. Originality and creativity are what they thrive on and the crew has certainly been making waves. Having almost reached the top in battles including Battle of the Year and Evolution Europe, La Smala triumphantly beat off the opposition at The Notorious IBE to qualify for the UK B-Boy Championships World Finals.

Illusion of Exist (Russia)

Russian crew Illusion Exists stormed through the European qualifiers at The Notorious IBE to claim one of the final spots in this year’s UK B-Boy Championships World Finals line-up. The crew boasts an array of dynamic skill and spark and have been battling hard on the international circuit. With their accolades accumulating nicely, Illusion Exists are proud to be representing in London this year and are determined to take home the win!
